Need some advice on skiing in Colorado Hey guys,
So I'm from the east coast and have never been to the west coast to ski. I am looking in doing a 5 day trip or so to Colorado in the beginning of December and I don't even know where to begin looking. Are there any good resorts that you would recommend around Denver? I would rather go somewhere cheaper as I don't need the most challenging terrains. Also I would be looking for a cabin of sorts for a group of people. Any recommendations? And what's the best place to start looking?

I agree that early December is generally a waste of a trip to CO for skiing. Go here for up to date ski conditions http://skicentral.com/colorado-skireport.html Loveland and Arapahoe Basin will have been open the longest and thus making snow the longest. If you ski A Basin, you can get a place in Keystone (about 7 miles away) and Keystone will be an option. On the upside, it is an El Nino year, so you might get some snow. Good luck. Hope you get what you want.
