Back home we had "pet" stores. Stores with actual pets you could look at, hold, buy. Here I have only seen pet supply stores. Anyone know of a pet store in the area? Turtles, hedgehogs, fish, rodents, ect?

Kitsap Humane Society sometimes gets some unusual animals in.
Anyone know of a catahoula rescue or a reputable rescue in Bremerton?

Here are some that might be able to help (I don't have personal experience with them, but they are worth looking into): http://www.pawsofbremerton.org/ (I don't believe they rescue dogs, but they might have suggested resources/rescues) http://www.animalrescuefamilies.org/ http://www.adoptapet.com/adoption_rescue/79089.htmlhttp://www.dogsaver.org/petsavers/ http://www.rescueeverydog.org/ http://www.kitsap-humane.org/ (I do NOT know if they are no-kill)
Hey neighbors, I would love some suggestions of places we can go look and visit dogs. Our family is in the beginning process of looking for a good family dog. We have heard there are really good rescue and/or shelters in the area. Thank you.
I have a 10 wk old puppy and a few hrs ago she started walking and would fall over. Like she's spinning, she won't eat or drink.. I have no clue who can help me. I'm unemployed and i know of no vets who can help our family. My ten yr old son is hysterical. I'M SCARED TO DEATH. PLEASE HELP US?

Hi, Sharlet. If you have not found any vet to help you and the puppy is not improving and you cannot get care credit, you do have the option of taking her in to Kitsap Humane Society tomorrow morning at 11 as a medical surrender. You would be surrendering her to the shelter so she would no longer be yours, but they may very well be able to save her life depending on what the issue is. You could call and email KHS admissions, leaving a message that it is an emergency medical issue and they might be able to get you in earlier (but may not be able to). You can leave messages at admissions@kitsap-humane.org and (360) 692-6977, ext. 1123
Our dog is in bad condition, and needs a vet, but we don't have the money to take him anywhere. We've already used Care Credit, and maxed it out, on his single other visit - we're still working on paying that off. Does anyone know of a vet who will do a payment plan or take delayed payment? This is pretty urgent.

You could possibly surrender your dog to Kitsap Humane Society. Of course, you would be giving him up for adoption but he would get the vet care he needs as a medical surrender. If this is something you need to do, call 360-692-6977, xt 1123 between 11 and 4 tomorrow for info or to make a surrender appointment.
I have 4 kittens that need homes within a couple days due to having to move. I don't want to take them to the humane society - does anyone know of anyone or any place that will take them?
Kelleen T. replied:
Yes, what Rhea said! Actually at KHS it is called "Litter Abatement" but it is the same program you describe! No surrender fee for kittens, FREE spay for momma (who goes home with you). Kittens get vet check, vaccines, flea treat, spay/neuter, and microchip and are adopted out often the first day they are available, to indoor homes, to people who have been screened by trained KHS staff to help ensure a safe and loving environment. You can schedule your free Surrender and Spay/Neuter appointments by contacting KHS at 360-692-6977, ext. 1123 or admissions@kitsap-humane.org.
PLEASE HELP!
My dog is suddenly very ill. She's weak, lethargic and can't keep her eyes open. She's flinchy and not herself. My boyfriend and I have literally zero dollars but she needs a doctor
Is there a vet in or around the Bremerton/port orchard area that won't require money first to help her? Please hurry.
