  The big booking sites charge you and the provider fees - all of them - Airbnb, booking .   5 days left in Scotland and our plans are falling apart, any advice on where to go would be great! Hi everyone, I am travelling in Scotland with my mom and we're hitting some roadblocks with our trip planning. The entire trip was booked last minute (not ideal, I know) since the opportunity presented itself very suddenly. We are currently in Edinburgh and our plan was to visit Inverness and the Isle of Skye, but all accommodation in Inverness seems to be booked due to an orienteering festival and nothing seems to be available on Skye as well. I've checked AirBnB, booking.com, hotels.com, and emailed every b&b in Inverness. We are in Edinburgh until Sunday morning, and then we fly home to Canada (from Edinburgh) late on August 4th. Can anyone recommend somewhere nice or some activities that we could go and stay/do for 3-4 days? My mom has some knee issues and her mobility is fairly limited (so no gruelling hikes please!).   What about youth hostels? https://www.syha.org.uk/ They're usually a good bet, though you might not get a room to yourselves since it's a last minute booking. There are hostels in most major towns and lots accessable by public transport (unsure if you've got a rental car?)
