  Hi Lynne although I have lived in Wimbledon for 20 years I always go back to Unia in Strutton Ground in Victoria. http://www.uniaopticians.co.uk/the-team.php The reason is similar to yours I want to be treated as a person not just a customer. I have always been very happy with the service from what is a small independent optician. I go once a year for a check up and it's worth the 30 minute journey. Good luck.
