  OK, I'm putting this out there in Facebook. Two weeks ago my 2003 VW Passat blew it's oil pump. Now, without going into a great diatribe of how stupid I was to allow my oil pump to get sludged, I have had a whale of a time finding anyone to do this job for less than an arm and a leg. Anyone know of a good mechanic in the Valley (preferably on the East side) that won't charge me $200 to $300 for labor on a what I've been told is no more than a 2 to 3 hour repair?
