About us
Yorkie Rescue of America is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit corporation. We are completely funded by donations and volunteers. Our volunteers foster the Yorkie in their home until he or she is well medically and ready to go to a new loving furever home. Donations go toward the medical care of the Yorkies. Whether it is prescriptions for needs such as pneumonia, which most have when rescued from an animal shelter, or prescription foods, x-rays, spaying, neutering, microchiping, teeth cleaning or any other medical care necessary for the overall health and welfare of our rescues…… your donations are their salvation.
Our volunteers are from all walks of life, both women and men and of all ages. We all have one thing in common, a kindness of heart, a commitment to serve and a passion for Yorkies. We are always looking for fosters and can always use more help. So, if you would like to volunteer, just let us know
