  So we have been planning to do some serious work on our house for sometime, but it looks like the recent earthquakes may hasten this to happen. Some big cracks and buckles appeared after the minor shaking. So I am in need of someone who can help me restore and refine this old house into something special ....with all the modern bells and whistles on the inside. I expect that we will be adding to the back of the house to make room for a bathroom and walk in closets, tearing off the roof and give me a usable attic, redoing/reinforcing the pier and beam foundation, taking off the fake brick siding, new wooden slat boards, new wood floors, new windows, move the AC unit into the and new bathrooms. My goal for the outside is to make feel more like the other houses on our street... the fake brick from the 50's really makes it stick out like a sore thumb. I have never done anything this big and want to be able to hand as much as this to one company/person as possible. Does anyone one know somebody that does jaw droppingly good house restorations and remodels?

  We did a very invasive restoration on our bungalow and couldn't be more happy with our architect and general contractor. They both have extensive experience on historic homes and do extraordinary work.
