  Looking for a new primary care physician, must be female, for my 19-year old daughter who is on the Autism Spectrum. Problem being - she is very overweight, and has the darkened/thickened skin that can precede diabetes. The previous PCP that we saw at an initial visit didn't do any blood tests at all, didn't recommend any other tests; I'm concerned about her thyroid, diabetes, cholesterol ... I really don't want to go back to her and have her say that everything's OK. That doctor didn't seem comfortable with me being in the room with my daughter - but we have guardianship, and she is not really capable of communicating any problems. So hoping someone can provide me with some names I can use as a starting point.
