Can anyone recommend a T5 specialist in Blackburn /Bolton area (or north West). Had a noise on my van when it gets to around 40 mph. I thought it was a wheel bearing. My mechanic (lovely guy but a Mercedes specialist by his own admit in) wasn't sure but thought there was a noise and changed one of rear bearings, and a sensor thing which was crap so had to put another on. Anyway I can still hear this noise and it's driving me crazy. I've tried dipping clutch and slipping into neutral but noise still there, so does this indicate not clutch etc? Also getting a noise on full lock, but mechanic said it's fine and to leave it. There's only me that drives my van, and I know it sounds different to how it did, even though when I've took friends out they can't gear any noise. I'm crap at describing things, but ideally I'd like a specialist to look at it before I throw another £200+ on another wheel bearing if it's something else... Beginning to take fun out of driving it, as scared it's something else. (broke down loads in old T25 so got rid, then last year driveshaft went on M20 with kids in tow and it was well scary!) sorry for long post! Thanks, kathy x
