Can anyone recommend a good farmers market other then Sorgels?

The Family Cow...delivers to staples every Friday at 11:30..best secret in town. Pastured eggs, chicken, grass fed beef, milk, honey..you name it! Pay online and your order is in a cooler ready to go in the parking lot!! http://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com/ CSAs just don't work well for our family, and this is perfect.
Where's a good place in the Greensburg vicinity to get farm fresh eggs?
Kelly M. replied:
I order mine from The Family Cow. They deliver to the Walmart parking lot every Thursday at 2:45. I get all my eggs, raw cheese and meats from them. Wonderful !!! http://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com/
Anyone have a recommendation on a local CSA that you have used and been pleased with? Thanks.
Kelly U. replied:
It's not so "local" - they're from Chambersburg. But we LOVE them. Pickup is in the Staples parking lot on 228 every Friday at 11:30. We get raw milk from them all the time. http://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com
Is there any place local that sells organic meat (especially beef) other than a chain grocery store?

Here is the Family Cow's website. Note it is under Your Family Farmer on its web address although they call themselves Your Family Cow. http://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com
Does anybody know where across the river I can get raw milk?

I pick up weekly in new hope from http://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com he has drop off points all over pa, so there may be a point closer to you. Also the coop in doylestown sells klein farm milk.
Going organic with produce and grass-fed/free range meats can get expensive. Are there any local farmers who sell these foods and are reasonably priced? Thanks for your advice.

Www.yourfamilyfarmer.com place your order and pick up every Thursday in Greensburg. At Teddy's there is a farmers market where a farmer is certified organic as well. There is a farm in herminie as well that we go to. You can pick your own. We get tons of tomatoes for sauce, lettuce, green beans and more. Schramms is not organic - the price may be higher for organics, but the farmers have stacks of papers to fill out and guidelines to be certified organic which leaves them with little profit. Where as all the other big agricultural companies can use tons of chemicals and toxins - classify their food as "meat" and "safe" yet they have no procedures to go through. Its sad.

We're thinking about your family farmer. I wish there was a way that we could do a penn township pickup. If be happy to pick up once a month if others want to share in that. We could pay online and meet at the library. I just don't see myself driving to Greensburg weekly.
Hi everyone! We want to join a CSA this year and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of local ones they've joined and loved? Many thanks for any and all reviews!

Where is the best place to fresh, organic, grass fed, single cuts of quality meats in our area?
Amanda S. replied:
This farm is not in our area but they deliver to our area once a week on Thursdays. Absolutely the best meat I've ever bought! https://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com
Looking for organic fresh eggs from someone who has their own chickens. Would need about 2 doz a week. Latrobe/Ligonier area.
Also looking for raw milk and cream in the area.
Any help appreciated!
Amanda S. replied:
I order from a farm who delivers to the area weekly. They have eggs, cream and raw milk as well as a big list of other things. Their website shows pictures of their livestock and explains how and what they feed their animals. https://www.yourfamilyfarmer.com
Does anyone have any recommendations for semi local places that you can purchase a half or full cow (meat)? Last time I did this (several years ago), I drove to Sandy Lake. ..TIA :)

Your Family Farmer is amazing if you want excellent grass fed beef, woodland pork, and much more. I've been to their store and farm in Chambersburg. My grandmother is from the area. Select your weekly drop point. Ours is Staples parking lot every Friday. Check know it out. So worth it. We used to do the half cow, but this works out much better. Not paying for all the bones.
