Gypsies! I need your help. I've recently been put in a HORRIBLE contract/situation though Parallon and desperately need out. I'm being told I have to pay $5K to...

I worked 2 contracts with Bob Hudson at Supplemental and had a pretty good experience.

Boo Patty Travels ...that doesnt sound good. Luckily I am going to what I think is a traveler friendly hospital. And its for an epic conversion so maybe their own staff wont be there anyway lol
Christine D. replied:
Okay, I am confused here. I know Alta Bates fairly well, and it is NOT an HCA hospital, nor affiliated with Parallon AFAIK. It is a Sutter hospital. There are only two HCA hospitals in the bay area: Good Sam and Regional in San Jose.
Christina M. replied:
They actually staff for lots of systems, Franciscan Health too

My agency subcontracts with Parallon. If you give a two-week notice you should be covered. Just be sure to discuss everything on the interview go back to your recruiter and be sure he/she puts everything in the contract to protect you. Usually Parall on will require you to float down so if that came up you would have known before you signed. If you want a second opinion I'll be in the office all day tomorrow. Patty T. replied:
There's a reason that Alta Bates pays so well (that's a $100 bill rate so I hope they're paying you well) is because it's a hole and your recruiter knew it and didn't tell you, because every recruiter knows that. Is working for Parallon again really that important to you? Most of their hospitals are like that and there are plenty more hospital systems to choose from. Talk to Phil from Pantravelers.com That being said, if you can suck it up for 8 weeks and bank the money, do it. Dont ever use that recruiter again because they dont have your back and other companies WILL put specifics in your contract, Parallon won't.
