According to Bill Rapaport's online Restaurant Guide there are two in Amherst: Jonny C's NY Deli on Casey near Transit, and Nissan's Kosher Deli inside Tops on Maple at North Bailey, but independently owned and operated. http://www.cse.buffalo.edu/restaurant.guide/cuisine.html#KosherStyle

Jonny C is not kosher. There are a few establishments that serve kosher food. But different people have different definitions of kosher. Nissans deli at tops international is vad supervised kosher. Wegmans has kosher food but is not supervised by the vad. The cafe at the JCC has kosher food. There are a few kosher caterers. I think Niagara Falls has a kosher pizza place. If anyone has any specific questions I would be happy to put you in touch with those that know the answer. There is a big difference between a deli and kosher

My Medicare enabled wife is correct, we had a great time yesterday. The Black Forest Adler was very enjoyable. The food was authentically German and the service was good and the servers were fun. I recommend it.
