Hi I know someone asked the other day, but does anyone know and dentists that are taking on nhs patients. I have already contacted st Andrews and the have a waiting list...

Unless you need a dentist urgently I would make sure you ask to be put on a waiting list if they have one or keep calling every couple of months. In my case I happed to call the dentist of my choice, Sandy Dental Care, on the day they reopened their NHS list after waiting 6 months. Here is the NHS list that might help though the info on taking nhs or not is rarely up to date. http://www.nhs.uk/Service-Search/Dentists/Biggleswade/Results/12/-0.264/52.086/3/1784?distance=25

M&N Dental Practice in Bedford always accepting new NHS patients
Alan D. replied:
This has been the case for a long time now.. The Dentist that I went to for years decided to drop NHS and I believe others did too, leaving no NHS Dentist in Biggleswade. There are good established Dental Practices for those prepared to go Private.

If it's an emergency there is an NHS clinic in Bedford, on the site of the North Wing hospital. They will see you the same day.

I'm trying to get my husband in to see NHS dentist. I live in Sandy, and go to the one on the Market Square, and have been told to ask every month (8 am on the 1 st day), and was told this last week. I know Cloves Dentist ( near LLOYDS Bank) were taking on NHS patients, but only children under 16. This was in June this year. Otherwise you'll have to put your name on list and wait for spaces.
