UK FRIENDS - I've had it with BT. There services are reliable BUT their billing and the way they've recently dealt with my contract are simply not on. On principle, I...

Thing about Virgin is they keep advertising these lightning fast rates, but those speeds of 156 are not available in this area. They're the same speed as everyone else. Also, I just checked and their international plan is 5 x higher per minute than BT a nd the plan I would need is actually £3 higher a month than BT. I'm looking at Plus.Net now, and thinking to not use the landline at all except for incoming and evening calls. Between my mobile and Skype, I hardly use my landline at all for outgoing calls. Plus.Net seems to have the same speed (76 mb) as BT fibre optic, and I can get a monthly contract for half the price...£24.70 for 6 months and then £36 a month for the next 12, as opposed to £53 a month at BT or Virgin. I could even get it down another £36 if I pay line rental in advance. Anyone out their use Plus.Net ?

I'm leaning towards Plus.Net. Just calculated that I could save about £14 a month AND not have to pay for international calls at all (up to 300 min a month), which will mean I'll save a bunch more. Plus, their speed appears to be significantly faster than my current BT speed. I need to ask them some questions and don't want to sign up until I speak the them on the phone tomorrow, to make sure I'm understanding it all correctly.
