I've used Apple on MLK. It was convenient because i could drop off and hop on the street car. My windshield was ready in a couple of hours and they didn't steal weed or anything from the car.

Another vote for Apple. Lowest price of 4 places I called and good service.

Since you're paying out of pocket you'll want to call around and get several quotes. Be sure to tell each places that you call the price offered by the previous place. If you go for the lowest price option, they probably won't do the nice stuff like vacuum out the glass, so you'll need to do that yourself (and, you'll never, ever, get it all). Sorry this happened to you!

I've used Speedy Glass on NE Broadway for this exact repair. I think I paid around $250 for a new rear door window. Same day service as most common glass is in a local warehouse. http://www.speedyglass.com/store/portland2/

Safelite will come to you. We just had the front windshield replaced in our car and they did excellent & speedy work. I am guessing you are right and the glass will be less than your deductible.

Hey all thanks for the info! It was super helpful. I ended up going to Apple Glass. They were super nice and gave me a great price. Much less expensive than Safelite.
