Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced dentist in Sydney? The tooth my root canal surgery was performed on is collapsing, and I don't trust the place I...

I take it you don't have any private cover - I've had good experiences with the HCF dentists. I don't think Medicare covers much in the way of dentistry.

Medicare covers many things under the Teen Dental Plan, and most non-cosmetic things under the [Chronic Disease Dental Scheme](http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/fact%20 sheet_dental-patients). If you're eligible for the latter, there are dentists who will bulk bill you, and you can access about $4000 worth of dental treatment over two years. If you're not eligible for either of those, there's the [Public Oral Health Services](http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/cohs/health_services.asp), who almost half the population are eligible for. Aside from those, you won't get anything subsidised by Medicare or the government as far as I know.

Can't give advice myself as I haven't been to one around here yet... but here's [another post](http://www.reddit.com/r/sydney/comments/gtf4 z/hey_rsydney_recommend_a_dental_clinic_in_sydney/) asking a similar question.
