Go see Doctor Chan at Media City Animal Hospital on Burbank near Victory.
wil replied:
Oh, also: our cat hurt his leg yesterday, so my wife took him to ASG in Glendale, and they were *fantastic* with him. That's probably a good place to consider, too.
WilliamMcCarty replied:
Had a friend who took her cat here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/toluca-burbank-dog-and-cat-hospital-burbank She had good things to say. Had a girlfriend who worked here in high school: http://www.yelp.com/biz/montrose-pet-hospital-montrose She said they were really very good. If anyone tries to recommend Bastet Cat Hospital on Olive, don't listen to them. Those fuckers let my cat die, they're only in it for the money. Never, ever go there.

I'm a dog owner, but I've seen plenty of cats there too. Can be a bit pricey sometimes, but they seem to genuinly(sp) care about the animals, not just the cash they can extract from your wallet
Can anyone recommend a good veterinarian in the Burbank area? Thoughts on the one in Petco? Thanks!!

Dr Sharp! I have tried a few others in Burbank but they aren't as good as Sharp Pet hospital.
Perri E. replied:
When we rescued Louie from Mutt Rescue at Petco, he had been seen previously at Community. Louie was 1/2 pound when born and they kept him alive. I had intentions of moving him to Vetco but they have a new Dr that didn't have good working hours for a working woman. Couldn't get Louie in and they no longer had discounted shots. I have been very happy with Community. We were just there last week.

On Jan.25 th at Petco in Middletown they are having a low cost shot clinic between 9:30 am - 11:00 am. All shots are performed by board certified vets and there is no exam fee. You can look up more info at vetcoclinics.com
Lisa C. replied:
What a beautiful puppy congrats on your new family member. Please take my advise and get his shots with a vet. I did the shots at Tractor Supply 4 years ago and my 3 puppies still got Parvo. 1 died and it cost me over $3000. to save the other 2. Vet told me that the meds have to be stored at a certain temperature and if they are not then it makes the meds ineffective.
Denise S. replied:
Hamilton Avenue Animal Hospital does the Sunday shot clinic all day. You only pay for the cost of the shots which is relatively cheap.
Heather S. replied:
Where are you located? There is a good vet in Hamilton on the West side called West Side Animal Hospital and they are very good and I have called vets and they were the cheapest with the visit and shots. 513-892-5916 is their number.

Kohler Krebs and minnix on Manchester Rd Middletown
Amanda S. replied:
Kreb Kohler is the best price around, $35 for the exam visit and it includes one shot! Its very affordable, they her their shots in a series so $35 every 6 wks is affordable for most.
Where's the cheapest place for cat vaccinations that I can go to tomorrow or Monday? I was thinking one of the vet clinics at Petco or Petsmart. Any opinions?
Kirsten O. replied:

Dr. Philbin at VCA Arden! It's technically in Glendale, but it's usually a \~15 min drive from the suburbs of Burbank. She's been a vet for my current and previous dog, and she knows what she's doing, super kind, calm, and always willing to answer my questions. Even in an emergency, she took my dog in asap when I called which probably saved his life.

It’s in Echo Park not Silver Lake, but the Mohawk Alley Animal Hospital is absolutely wonderful. We love every person who works there and they are *so* knowledgeable and caring with our little guy. Sending healing hugs to Miss Kitty! ETA that their COVID procedure is impeccable

Not the area you asked for, but DTLAVets have been wonderful with our cats (both before and during COVID). They have been quite booked up recently though because of the pandemic.
WilliamMcCarty replied:
They're in Burbank but I took my cats to [Media City Animal Hospital](http://www.mediacityvets.com).

Mohawk I think is considered the best, but they are always slammed so not sure they could see her on short notice right now if that's what you're looking for. Usually when we call them for an immediate concern we have, they say the first appointment isn't until like two weeks away.
