Recommend a local optometrist, with a good selection of glasses for small kids? One of our munchkins needs children's glasses, and we've never had to shop for them...

I just use Costco, the optometrist there is good and the selection of glasses is nice as well.

Dr. Eves and Dr. Mraz in Burlington. While my kid did not need glasses Dr. Eves was great with the examination making my kid feel comfortable. For a short time after the appointment my kid swore he was a magician from a fun trick Dr. Eves did with him. My understanding he stays on top of the field and even teaches maybe.... I'm not sure. Not just prescriptions, but eye health and care with Dr. Eves.

We have had good luck with glasses at Abbey Eye Care in Oakville (3 rd and dundas). We havent had optometrist there, but the optometrist we were using (they moved office to stoney creek) used to work at abbey eye care and she was pretty good handling our little one. We will probably be going there but following this thread for other good recs.

I don't have any experience with eyewear for kids, but for pricing and service, we've had excellent experiences at Burlington Optical on Plains Road. They have great prices, and the pricing is well marked and super easy to understand. They carry a great selection of name brands. They do direct bill most benefits plans but I haven't had experience with that because our own plan doesn't allow direct billing.

It sounds like you would like Nano frames (very similar to Miraflex). https://nano-vista.com/ There is a 'Where to Buy' section on the website with several local options.

I hate optometry. "Yes you need glasses...which I just so happen to sell right here."
