A recent post brought up a great point...has anyone thought about offering childcare to families while they try to recover what they can from their property? I'm in...

Here is the link to a video about our Oklahoma visit. These kids are suffering from PTSD now, and really didn't have a lot of early intervention. If someone sets up for childcare in a church or school, we can certainly come in and do some of these activities. http://youtu.be/vo8J7-vX_C8

If anyone sets up something for childcare, please let us know if you'd like our group to come in. We do an animal therapy resiliency building program for kids (www.houseofnubs.org). Our volunteers are in the area, and we'd be happy to help! We work with child survivors of trauma, and we just did a program for tornado survivors in Oklahoma last month. I'm at houseofnubs@gmail.com. We have a bunch of fun activities designed for kids who have been through stuff like this. Getting them some help early for how to deal with their fears/sense of self-empowerment is key.
