If he is going for rehab Chestnut Ridge is comparable to any rehab facility insurance covers it and it's temporary living. Living at Chestnut Ridge is going to be the cheapest option you have in the area but still outrageous. Had MIL at Golden living and Chestnut Ridge until she passed. Nursing homes are nursing homes they all have issues and they all have bad days. I found Chestnut Ridge to be just as caring as all the other "much more expensive" homes I have been to. Issues were always handled with respect and urgency! You have to visit your person at unexpected times consistently to truly see their care. Just my opinion.

Chelsey Park Health and Rehab in Dahlonega is my number one pick for rehabilitation in the area. The therapy department is top notch and if you click on their website then you can do a virtual tour to see what they have to offer. This is the only rehab center that I can personally vouch for other than Grandview in Jasper. The process of picking a SNF can by very overwhelming because with every good experience there will always be someone who had a negative one. My advice for you is to go to https://www.medicare.gov/nursinghomecompare/search.html? to help narrow down your options. The most important aspect is going to the facility and taking a tour. This will give you the opportunity to see the place, ask any questions you may have and will definitely help you in your decision. Good luck!
