doggie daycares, dog parks, and dog walkers? Hi! I'm about to move to GR and I'm going to be working some brutal hours. I'm looking for some places to take my...

I use Rover.com for dog/house sitters. It's cheaper than a boarding facility and my dog gets to stay in her home where she is most comfortable. Many of the people on Rover also offer dog walking services. In the past, I have used Petvilla in Walker and Camp Bow Wow in Kentwood with no complaints. Hillcrest Dog Park and Covell Dog Park are our favorite parks. They're both free. Kruse Beach (Muskegon) is our favorite beach for summer adventures. Kirk Park is another dog-friendly beach, but we prefer Kruse hands-down. Nature of the Dog is a GR dog-walking business. They also hold community dog walks in the summer that are fun. If your future neighborhood has a FB page, you can also ask there for recommendations or if anyone in the neighborhood is interested in dog sitting/walking. I've seen parents advertise their responsible teenagers' pet services on my neighborhood's page.

Grand Ravines is my favorite dog park. There can be a LOT of dogs there, but the park is HUGE (off-leash hiking trails in addition to large and small dog play areas).

I second Grand ravines dog park, it the nicest one in the area that’s free. The combination of the dog park and off leash fenced trails wear out my vizsla. If I need a quicker option I hit up Hillcrest but it’s kind of the Wild West of dog parks, but if you get into a routine of going you’ll figure good times and bad times to visit.

Byron center boarding is where I boarded my dog when I lived alone and had to work 12 hours in kzoo. She does it out of her house prices are good and she is super flexible

I take my dog to Whiskers for daycare and we both love it. They have a flat rate per day so I don't stress if I have a really long day and can't pick him up until late evening. The staff is super nice and seem to genuinely care about the dogs. He's currently wiped out on the floor next to me, I picked him up about an hour ago! Dog parks- Grand Ravines is great and free. We've never been to Shaggy Pines, but it's apparently the gold standard. It's a private 20-acre dog park. Worth checking out for a free initial visit once it's nicer out! I use Rover for midday walks when I'm not able to come home from work, there are some really nice sitters on there. Welcome to GR! What kind of dog?

My dog has gone to daycare and gets boarded at Pet Villa and Camp Bow Wow, both are nice facilities that I've had no problems with. Camp Bow Wow is nicer and has cameras you can watch online but is also more expensive. As far as daycare goes they both do an excellent job of sapping all energy out of my dog throughout the day. Hillcrest Dog Park is my favorite, like someone else said it can be "The Wild West" of dog parks but that is really what my dog wants and needs.

My friends owns [Wash & Wags](http://www.washandwags.com/) in Allendale. He does boarding and sitting/day care.

Grand Rapids has a very strong pet community that continues to grow. There are quite a few dog walking/dog sitting companies. We have used Nature of the Dog for dog walks, our dog really liked them. We've also used Whiskers Pet Resort for boarding and they are always pleasant to deal with. Grand Rapids, MI' class='name_reco'>GR Dog Adventures will run/bike/hike with your dog if they are a more active breed. As for parks, my favorites are Tails and Trails in Saugatuck and Grand Ravines in Jenison. Large parks, fenced in wooded areas.

I have a recommendation for a dog walker if you're interested. She was recommended to me by a friend and me and my dog really like her. If you'd like I can PM you her info.
