If you choose to go the compounding way, there is a pharmacy in Torrance that specializes in compounding for animals. It's called Pacifica Pharmacy (http://www.pacificapharmacy.com/). You can talk to Jeff who is the head pharmacist. He could probably tell you if the prozac really does help.

I would think about maybe doing something natural first. Also Junia Childs is a fantastic Vet that comes to your house; she is very very good and would offer some alternatives to help your kitty.
