Need some advice on some supplements.
For your older horses what do you use for a joint supplement? I'd rather not pay 350$ for a 90 day supply of the stuff I've found...

Basics. Glucosamine HCl(or other forms) in conjunction with chondroitin (or chondroitin sulfates) as well as MSM(Methylsulfonylmethane). All of these can be found at a local co-op in pure forms for livestock(if you can't find one I suggest a pharmacy). They are low cost and basically the active ingredient for most joint supplements. Buying them separately and mixing them is the cheapest solution. Feel free to PM me for how to mix the compounds based on their dose and concentration. Now glucosamine NEEDS to be used with chondroitin and MSM for OPTIMAL absorption. As well as both chondroitin and MSM have great properties for helping joints as well. No need to spend $100's. I make 90 day supplies for my horses for around $40 each maybe less if I find a good bulk deal. Split the feeding into twice or three times daily for optimal absorption, you can mix into feed.
