When I had ahcccs, I saw Heidi Read and she really is lovely, but my rheumatologist handled any chronic pain issues of mine, so idk how she will handle them.

I go to Dr. Askari at Thumb Butte Medical Center in Prescott. I have only been going for about a month, but so far I have gotten quality care and they are very compassionate and understanding.

Frank Colella (NP) at the Yavapai County Community Health Center (Prescott) is amazing!!!! You will NOT be sorry if you go to him! The 1 st time I saw him, he did blood work because I was having issues with very severe fatigue that majorly affected my work. He called me on a Friday night at 7 pm, on a holiday weekend, after getting the results, because my thyroid was very bad, and wanted to get me on meds immediately! He truly cares and I never feel rushed while talking to him. He really listens to and cares about all of those he treats. They take all AHCCCS

Patty Grant Aiken is right about CV Medical Center! I love that they always have walk-in appts! They also have x-ray on site!

Dr. Klein at Conerstone Pediatrics in Prescott Valley, Arizona. I refuse to go to Ponderosa Pediatrics. Cornerstone Pediatrics' number is 928-443-5599. Dr. Klein saw my son since the day he was born in the Prescott Valley hospital off of Florentine. She has been amazing. Love her nurses. She never pressured me to circumcise him either, unlike many doctors in this community. Same with breastfeeding. She respected my decision.

I have three kids and have been going to Dr. Green at the Community Health Center for 9 years, a great Dr. His number is 928-583-1000.

NOT Katherine Ballard! worst pediatrician I have ever come across in my life. Rude, inappropriate and you will wait an hr and a half past your appointment time to be seen. I highly recommend Ponderosa!

Dr. Hinton at Ponderosa Ped's was really good w/my boys when they were little. He's also a friend of mine (along w/his family). For that matter, there's only one person at Ponderosa Ped's that I would avoid (a certain nurse practitioner), and I don't know if she's still there.

Yep, haven't liked her in YEARS. I also put in a complaint to Dr. Mick about Heidi. My 16 yr old daughter has a LOT of soft wax build up in her ears and refuses to to use a ear wash. I wanted Heidi to clean it and she basically said she was old enough (which she is) to us a wash and left the room. Dr. Mick was PISSED and made her come back out of the room with the next patient and apologize to me and my daughter

I love Dr. Mick. I had forgotten about him until I read others' comments about him. He was ALWAYS so patient & understanding & helpful w/my boys!

Dr. Kathryn Ballard has been my children's Doctor since the day they were born. They are now 17 and 16 and she has seen it all with them and never failed to provide excellent care. She is awesome!!

I love Ponderosa Pediatrics, they have a FB page. Great docs and fantastic hours.. Walk in hours morning and eve's no appt necessary, and Sat sick apps too.

I have to put in a vote for Ponderosa Peds. My daughter isn't going there any more but my son, 27 went there also. Dr. Mick is an absolutely wonderful doctor and I couldn't ever say enough about him, well dealing with him for up until last year should say something!

Dr. Hinton at Ponderosa Peds. He is amazing. I have 6 kids ages 4 1/2 to 17. The youngest has Down syndrome. He has been our pediatrician for the last 5 years.

Dr. Kathryn Ballard sees both of my kids and we love her. A very detailed oriented physician that listens to the parents and will search out every possible avenue if needed.

Praying for wisdom and direction! Calvary Chapel of Prescott has a good kids program and solid ground doctrine.

Avoid Dr Covey at all costs. He refused to treat me because he did not think that at the time I should have qualified for AHCCCS. My now ex had once again quit another job which meant no health insurance with 4 kids so I applied & was approved. The drs job is to treat, not take in financial information.

Dr. Purush...Great doctor and awesome staff.

I have always recommended Dr. Purush in Prescott next to the shuttle stop. I believe in him so much I sent my whole family to him they love him 237-9000

My only suggestion is to avoid Dr. Duncan. I saw him once a couple years ago and he was just not very personable. I had a 4 month old and he told me I was built like a linebacker. Everything about him and his office was awkward and uncomfortable.

I would recommend Shane Jenson or Mike Frost at Family Medical Walk In. They are both amazing FNP's. Very personable, will sit down and listen to your needs.

I recently started seeing Chris Novack at the Thumb Butte Medical Center..and my friends have Kerry Malin at the same office... I highly recommend Thumb Butte Medical Center because I heard GREAT things about that place before I worked up enough courage to actually go in, and I'm glad I did because I got to experience all the positive things all my friends have said about that place on a personal level... I'm very happy with them...not a rude person at all in that place!!!

I am fairly new with Gladhart Family Medicine. They take Medicare. You have to fill out about a dozen pages of paperwork but there was no upfront fee.

I'm w/ Dr Askari. He's so so. But no up front fees, no bunches of paper work, and he takes Medicare.

When O care started or just a bit before many doctors quit the practice, decided to take only certain insurance, cash only or no insurance. Not so many taking Medicare now. Most docs now asking for $50 - 200 to help cover the added paperwork this is causing. The doctors are required to ask many questions that not many asked before and must be filed. If you are using Medicare for the first time you will also want Medigap insurance to cover what regular Medicare does not cover. There are some programs that cover both and you must go only to their doctors. If you have regular Medicare, it will pay up to 80% on most items, Medigap will cover the 20% on those items.There are about 7 of these programs that companies may sell. Call around for the company you want to buy from. AAPR changes at least $100 most than others You also may want to look into Part d which is discounted Meds. I wanted to change my plan but it was rated highest so I stayed with Silver Script. I have most mailed to my home. If you do, check to see that they are the proper med, your name is on them, everything is shipped that you are being charged for and have no strange medications. You can have a pharmacy in the area to buy all or part of your medications.

I see Dr. Ajith Purush and have been happy with him. He does have a questionnaire to fill out to apply for his service, but no charge and I am on Medicare.

I would also recommend Dr Fernandez at women's medical care and Dr. Klein at cornerstone Ped, or Dr Covey as a family doctor. Feingold and Fernandez are together In that office but I always prefer Fernandez, much better personality and very caring

Where is Dr. Ballard located?

Dr. Mary Moyer is a family doctor and has seen my girls since infancy. They are now 20 and 22. She is the best doctor we have ever had.

Dr. McCarver is strictly urgent care now and IMHO not that great. He saw my girls for a couple of years and I couldn't wait to get them back to Dr. Moyer.

Dr Ballard is amazing my autistic son loves her he's preteen she handles it all in stride great staff too
