i have had major surgeries for tooth infections. they do not put you to sleep but the anesthesia is intense and you dont feel a thing. you actually cant leave without someone picking you up becuase of the anesthesia. trust me i hate dentist and i didnt feel a thing.

I really recommend Dr Djawdan in Annapolis. He specializes in patients who struggle with anxiety and pain. He's a dentist, but he does root canals and implants so his experience and knowledge are broad.
I have a lot of trauma associated with dentistry because I don't respond to novocaine, lidocaine, or nitrous. Before I visited Dr Djawdan, I saw supposedly one of the best endos in the state; he told my spouse that he'd never before encountered a patient as resistant to his entire anesthesia and sedation toolkit, and apparently *I* traumatized *him.* Dr Djawdan knocks me out, gets the work done right the first time, and sends me on my way.
He's incredibly good at pain management and doing work under twilight sedation. He's also wonderfully honest about work you do and don't need, and will always try to save a tooth rather than do work that will make him money. I'm about to move three counties away and I'm still going to go to him when I need work.
