Anyone know of a really good teen therapist? My daughter (16) isn't doing well. I think she needs to see someone. Any recommendations for a really good teen...

My daughter saw Molly Szweda at Clayton Behavioral and found her really comforting and understanding. She was open to communicate with me as a parent while keeping my daughter's privacy intact and was responsive at all times. My psychiatrist is in the same practice and I find him great as well. He definitely uses Doxy for online appointments so assuming they all probably do. Good luck.

My high schooler daughter saw a number of therapists but really hit it off with Angela Grace. We’ve since moved out of state and she is still seeing her via teleconference. I’ve been impressed with Angela and the results of her therapy and would recommend her highly. Angela’s office is in Creve Couer at Lindbergh and Olive.

Try calling Mercy Hospital to see if they have any recommendations. They are a huge multi state hospital network so they should accept most insurances and they have many locations in St. Charles county

Try Dr. Larice in Chesterfield (psychiatry). Centerpointe has an outpatient program, and Advent medical group has therapists I have heard good things about. Dr. Mandava (psych) there is good. Your insurance may be able to help you get in somewhere quickly.

Looking for a therapist/counselor Can anyone recommend a good counselor or therapist? I've recently gone through some stuff and am at a point now where I want to talk...
picardybird replied:
if you go to Psychology Today, they have listings of practitioners by zip code, but what I found most helpful was that it lists their specialties and focuses. Some psychologists have extra experience in particular techniques (CBT, art therapy, EMDR, etc.), particular communities/populations (LGBTQ+, racial identity, religious identity/spirituality) and issues (marital counseling, trauma PTSD, addiction, life transitions, self esteem) and some may be a better fit for your needs. Good luck!

I go to [Change Inc.](http://www.changeincorporated.org/) on kingshighway. My former partner goes there too. they are easy to communicate with and everything is on a sliding scale, so it is super affordable. I highly recommend them, they are great.
VioletVixxen replied:
Karis House on kingshighway is also great, has a sliding scale, and matches you with a counselor based on your needs and preference. I know several people (women, primarily) who have gone there.
