Does anyone know of a reasonable vet. I think my dog has an eye infection.

Sorry ladies, but PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO OAK LAWN animal hospital!!!!!!!! First, they told us, in front of my young daughter that my dog had cancer and was about to die. They wanted to euthanize him right then! He lived another two years! Then, I had a dog run over by an S.U.V I drove about 80 M.P.H to get there and the Dr. refused to even look at him, he said sorry, we are closing in 15 minutes. I actually threatened him and he finally came out to the car, by then, my dog was dead. Another time, we brought our big dog in because he hurt his toe while running, (he was limping and we didn't know why) the doc said it was hip displacia and he needed a 2,000 dollar surgery. His toe healed up in about a week and he has been fine ever since. I wouldn't go to Oak Lawn animal hospital if it were the last place on earth! Oak Forest animal clinic is the BEST around!!! Just before 159 th st. on Cicero, just before the bridge. On the east side of the street.

I think everyone's had good & bad experiences at most of these places. Animal Welfare is good, but after a few recent incidents, I'm not confident in them any more. I've never had problems at OL Animal Hospital. One time my small dog banged his head & was unconscious. We took him there & I carried him in crying & the Dr. actually came into the waiting room & took him immediately. I did have trouble with the 24 hour hospial in Crestwood. Another one of our dogs had an allergic reaction to his shots, late at night. He was swelled up really bad & couldn't breathe. My daughter took him there & they would not even look at him until payment was made. I was working nights & wanted to do a check over the phone, but they refused. I called Animal Welfare & they said bring him over & keep ringing the bell & someone would let my daughter in. They gave him a shot & he immediately was better.

Summit Animal Hospital for sure. I suggest you get there early as they are very loved and very busy.
I know this site is to report lost/found pets, but I need help. My 10 year old doggy is having problems breathing. Some of you have spoken about a very good vet in...
Need a vet that will work with me on payments. My baby is sick and need to get him to a vet soon.

Dr. Weber in Irondale will. He doesn't take appts, you have to be there at 8 am to sign in. He doesn't charge an office visit, only what he does to/for the dog
