Looking for a neurologist specializing in migraines. I'm asking for a non redditor friend who is severely debilitated. She's not interested in alternative practitioners...

I've had great luck with Dr Couch at Central Texas Neurology. He's the 1 st neurologist out 4 that have ever helped me.

Dr. Robert Cain is amazing. http://www.ansaustin.com/ He's a member of the American Association for the Study of Headache and has had many studies regarding migraines. The guy is great!

Whatever you do, don't go to Dr. Patrick Nolan at Austin Diagnostic Clinic. It seems like he doesn't care at all about his patients and he's more concerned with answering his phone than trying to help you get rid of your migraines. I had enough after 7 visits and no solution. He would just tell me to eat less aged cheese and stay away from caffeine.
