Can anyone recommend a hand and wrist surgeon? Was told I needed surgery on my wrist but not sure where to go to have it done.

For non local, Dr. Fisher who is a hand specialist at Sinai Hospital repaired my finger when I broke it and did an excellent job.

I think Dr Berner retired, and was replaced by Dr Janz. Janz is good- he worked on my right hand after my accident.

Orthopedic Associates of Maryland - Dr Pervaiz I have seen many hand specialist due to carpal tunnel in both hands for over 15 years... and Dr. Pervaiz is by far the best!

I'm a therapist so my recommendations are from surgeons that I've rehabbed their patients or delt with personally. Greater Chesapeake all good, Dr Penzey at U of MD, Dr. Khurram Pervaiz or Dr Stacey Berner. JMO!

Try Orthapedic Associates. Dr. Pervaiz just did my shoulder surgery and I think he does hands as well. Two months out and recovering well without a scar to show for it.

I recommend Dr. Stacey Berner too. My son had his first surgery botched and Dr. Berner fixed everything up and then some. A nice guy.

Orthopedic Associates is in Eldersburg. They are in the shopping center off of 26 with Hoppers, Subway, etc.

Orthopedic Assoc of Central Md as Mike said. I see Dr Adams who is fabulous but he mentioned to my dad about hand surgery that Dr Pervaiz is the best. Their main office in Catonsville is where you call for appts. 410-644-1880. They usually work out of St Agnes and Howard Co hospitals and maybe another.

Dr Chris Forthman, greater Chesapeake hand specialist. They have an office next to the Phillis green building in westmjnster! He has done my wrist surgery about a year and a half ago and I've have no problems since

Dr. Pervais at Orthopedic Assoc of Central MD. He is a hand specialist. We just saw him Wednesday for him to remove pins from my daughter's surgery. He is excellent. They have several offices but the new one is in the Liberty Exchange shopping center.
