I know that if you were to go to the hospital, she could have a counselor come in (could be a bit of a wait) and come talk to her. Not necessarily having to go to the in-patient unit to see a psychiatrist. You could also suggest having her call the help number (1-877-339-8342) and they are really good for getting back in 20 minutes or so. And they will suggest what should be done based on the situation. She would just give them her information and someone will call her back. It is strictly CONFIDENTIAL. The biggest thing is to be there for her and show her your support, but also help her to get the help she needs. <3
