Other than Rosa Mexicano, what's a good Mexican restaurant in Miami Beach? For a sit-down meal with table service, not a taco stand.

Naked Taco is casual and awesome. Try the Barbacoa taco. It was so good, I was there July 4 th weekend and we went back the next day.

Late to the party, but what the heck? Alma isn't a tourist place. As far as I know, it is locally owned and Alma actually works there (at least she used to.) I mean, sure, tourists go there, but tons of locals in my neighborhood go for pickup. It is totally legit, like Jeff said, but I would consider it closer to a taco stand than a real table service restaurant. We tried Tequiztlan a couple of times because we loved El Rancho and were so sad when it closed, and have been disappointed. Overpriced, underwhelming quality, mediocre service and a really awkward atmosphere and ambiance. Plus, nouveau Mexican fusion? Bleh. Rosa Mexicana? Just no. Mediocre food at Brickell prices. Oh Mexico on Espanola is good, though I would def call that one a tourist stop. Hua Huas is fancy tacos. Lots of people love it and Todd is a really nice guy (the head chef / owner). I want to try Naked Taco, Taquiza and the new Bodega, but haven't had a chance.

Naked Taco on 1111 Collins avenue at the Dream hotel. I know this because I'm the controller. Our pork belly taco is excellent and so is our Duck confit Taco. We make our own corn tortillas and it is the mastermind of the world famous chef Ralph Pagano. I promise you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah our margaritas are on point. All fresh ingredients. (We make our own mixes from fruit). The shrimp taco is our number one seller

Alma Mexicana is most legit Mexican on south beach. Period.
