Taking recommendations for a adult family doctor on west side.
Katie L. replied:
Ben and I see Dr. DeCesare. We have never had an issue getting in. She is having a baby soon so she may be harder to see for a while. Maybe see if you can go to the Plainfield office or see a different doctor in the practice.
Jennifer L. replied:
I see Dr Kersteff with IN Adult and Peds. If its just a routine physical etc they are all hard to get into. If its something more pressing they will see me that day or call in a prescription (you know for when I self diagnose! LOL)
Jennifer M. replied:
Dr Julie Walters is awesome! She is crazy smart and always listens to questions/concerns.
Sara M. replied:
I second, Risha Bates, American Health Network in IU West is fantastic. I see Dr. Johns, the kids see Dr. Cougill, but at some point we have seen all in the practice. I would recommend any of them. I know most if not all are Christians as well. I think Risha and I tag team these recommendations a lot..Haha.
Katie D. replied:
We see Dr. Schamerloh here too at IU West. Can't say enough good things. My kids have also seen Dr. Beerbower there at her office and loved him too.
Ericka B. replied:
Dr Emily Abernathy
Bill M. replied:
Vanessa and the kids see Julie Walters. She is kind and down to earth.
Sarah R. replied:
Dr Besold at Avon Internal Medicine...affiliated with HRH
Sarah R. replied:
And we see Dr Botkin in the same building for the kiddos
Catherine M. replied:
I'm a new patient at the American Health Network next to Bob Evan's. I've only been twice, once for my annual and once for a sick visit. Dr Elizabeth Wright. She's very nice and a family practitioner.
Risha B. replied:
We see Dr Johns who is in the same practice as Dr Schamerloh. I and my kids have seen Dr Schamerloh when Dr Johns was not available and she is great. All of the drs there (Beerbower, Abernathy, Cougill are the others) are wonderful. They are also believers. Their office has what they call express care where you can get in for acute needs without an appt from 3-5 each afternoon.
Krista J. replied:
I've only seen her 2 x but I use Emily Abernathy too.
Megan M. replied:
Indiana Adult and Pediatric Medicine, in Brownsburg and also an office in Plainfield. They're affiliated with Hendricks Regional Health, if that makes a difference.
Courtney S. replied:
Dr Schamerloh She's awesome. She is at IU west. Let me know if you need her number
Katie A. replied:
Courtney Paige Snodgrass sure.
Heather B. replied:
I like Dr. Folden...oh, you meant close to YOU. Well, she is on the west side of Frisco
Crystal C. replied:
Dr. Cook IU health. She is great. Over by Chicago Pizza in Plainfield.
Nina G. replied:
Katie 'Hopkins' Awwad Dr. Besold is really good. Trying to get into any physician office is difficult. St. Vincent offices are trying to get more creative and have before 8 and after 5 hours as well as same day appointments that can only be used that day but they fill up so quickly too. A lot of physicians are quitting practice and fewer are entering Medical School because healthcare laws are preventing them from practicing medicine just to be told you didn't make the right decision so we aren't going to pay you. It is only going to get worse as the physician shortage becomes more critical.
Nina G. replied:
By the way if you don't mind driving a little the Michigan Road office has fabulous family physicians, especially Dr. Luis Romero and has Great Pediatricians in the same office as well a an Immediate Care Center if no appointments are available.
Free information. if u need a family doctor I would highly recommend north ark family clinic. From reception crystal .RN Vickie .and Dr Sheryl Lynn Bryant they all have...
It burns, and I can't sleep. Does anyone know a doctor here in the haute that takes same day appointments, so I don't have to drive to my family doctor in Marshall?
