Can anyone recommend a good primary care doctor in Bristol? I am trying to find one on my own for the first time and I am not having much luck!

I go to Sapling Grove Medical Center (which is in the same complex as the hospital), because I hate going to Urgent Cares because of the outrageous co-pay and sometimes less than awesome service. I've seen multiple doctors at Sapling Grove, all of which have been great. Their number is 423-990-2400:)

I love DR Shrinker and we also go to sapling grove. My very favorite there is the nurse practitioner, Kim Sturgil.
Anyone have a suggestion for a physician or NP of a clinic that is interested in taking on a student? I need to find me a general practitioner before the Fall semester...

She's the hardest worker they have. Dr. Grunstra is a family doc, and awesome. She also likes Dr. Gardner a lot, recommended him to Nico. Not sure if he Bristol or Abingdon.
Jennifer K. replied:
We use Dr. Grunstra and love him! I like Britney Vestal, the nurse practitioner there too.

I did my externship at Sapling Grove Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and everyone there was great I recommend them! There are 2 female MD's, (Dr. Emily Campbell, Dr Mary McCormick) a Female NP, (Candyce Poteet) and Male MD (Dr Rick Whiles)

Dr. Gardner is in Abingdon with Dr. Triplett & Dr. Dawson at Magnolia Family Medicine located at The Campus. We've been seeing Dr. Triplett for many, many years, and most of the rest of my family see Dr. Gardner. I'm not sure if either of them are accepting new patients but it's worth a try. I'm sure Dr. Dawson there probably is as she is the newest. The only primary care we've been to in Bristol was at Sapling Grove by the hospital. Dr. Boccarossa used to be the kids' pediatrician (he saw older patients as well) but he left to go work at the VA hospital. We did see Dr. Whiles a couple times & he was good too - saw us when Hailey was 2 & had to spend the night in the hospital in a croup tent.
