Can anyone recommend some decent paint/body shops (other then Maaco)? I'm thinking like 30-40 mile radius max from Deltona.

Well I called a bunch of places: Econo said to bring my car in for a price. I spoke to Jeff at Liberty Collision in New Smyrna said that since they work with insurance companies, the type of paint they use is a much higher caliber so their prices are not competitive with paint shops; he gave me an example of a Lincoln Continental he painted recently and not needing the roof since it was a brougham it still cost 4k. Jeff recommended calling Al Webb's Fact-O-Bake on Nova Rd in Daytona, I spoke to Clyde and they've been there 50 years. He quoted me at $1500 for my '92 Grand Marquis and said that he uses an acrylic paint not a clear coat, cause the clear coats offered by Maaco and other cheaper shops is junk and will paper off in a year. Clyde said they guarantee their paint job for 3 years and said you can't tell the difference when a clear coat and an acrylic coat painted car is side by side. And, finally Crossroads in Orange City said that they no longer do whole car paint jobs and they just concentrate on spot painting and auto body work, and most work is with insurance companies. I'll take a ride out to Econo next month when I'm out in Daytona but make some notes people to save yourself a few phone calls. Here's my beast that needs paint.
Any suggestions on VERY good body shops? My Jeep needs some work in some areas and I'm looking for a shop that is trustworthy and does good work! Thanks!
