Rob (the owner) at Blunt on 104 th street Downtown http://bluntsaloninc.com It's a decent sized place, Rob is one of the owners. Call to book, ask specifically for Rob, and tell them it's your first time there and could they schedule a little more time. It's not rude, they're very understanding.

Can't say enough for The Refuge. I've been going there for a bit after trying the gamut of other offerings in Edmonton. I totally appreciate their vibe and attention to detail. they really take their time with you. Can't speak for the shave part tho, but I know that is in their offerings.

The Briefing Room on Whyte has e-shave & Jack Black, Sephora carries Jack Black and Art Of Shaving, Lux Beauty Boutique on High Street has several men's facial hair grooming products and I just noticed a tiny little store pop up in West Edmonton Mall called The Shaving Kit.

I just go a place just south of the whitemud crossing area, Duggan Hair and Barber is what theyre called. 2 great guys work there, the place is tiny, only 2 chairs but they're busy and are strictly walk in business. They get a ton of older clientele and $16-$17 for a *good* hair cut can't be beat by amateur work that goes on in supercut like chains. Can't comment on their beard/barber work though.

There's three male barbers around Southgate, all of which I can vouch for as being quality barbers. Duke's sells a beard balm they import from out east. * Lendrum Barber Shop(5834 111 St) * Duke's Barber Shop (11044 51 Ave) * Royal Lock & Key (Corner of 63 Ave & 99 St)

There's a solid barber in chappelle. Shop is simply called chappelle barbershop. Located at the end of 141 St going south. Heard good things
colinmcleod replied:
Holy shit what? There's barbers that'll sculpt a beard out there?
Beard_for_hire replied:
I live in Ellerslie myself but I always head down to Sweeny Todd's Barber on 10572 109 St. Approx $20 will get you a haircut and a beard trim. I do not trust many people with my beard but Sweeny Todd's is a great place to go. They really pay attention to what you want and know how to trim a beard. I have learned a few lessons from them on how to trim a beard and what techniques they use to shape a beard. It might be a bit run down looking inside but they sure are talented.
astronauts19 replied:
As already mentioned, the chappelle barber. I hear tons of great things about that guy. My dad and boyfriend both go there and refuse to go elsewhere anymore. And as for it not being on google maps, it's pretty new and there's very little on the map for that area. But basically go down ellerslie road heading west like you would go to Windermere and then turn left on 141 street. Follow it all the way south till you just about hit 41st avenue and it's on your right. But I'm sure you know that 127street to Graydon hill boulevard is closed currently so you wanna go alllllll the way down James Mowatt trail, turn right on 41st avenue. Follow the horrendous road till you see a bunch of road construction stuff up like barricades and such, then turn right on 141st Ave and as soon as you get off that little windy road, it will be on your left!

I asked a Chinese barber how much it would cost for a clean shave in Chinatown and he told me... get this... He told me it would take too long. Am I tripping or is this plain old odd? Either he's pretty poorly skilled or being, how should I put it? Very selective about his customer base.
