Is it necessary to use a Party Planner?
What have people done that may be different from the traditional event?
I am not familiar with what airbrush is...please inform...

Here is a visual bulletin board style of links to several vendors I personally used; everybody has their 'favorite' vendor. There really are many great choices! http://pinterest.com/maybesew/bar-or-bat-mitzvah-resources/

Hi Allison Needleman Stein . My company provides DJ entertainment - we have Facebook page here - www.facebook.com/electricentertainment . Feel free to private message me for more info. I know we also have Cliff Matheson on these boards who is a fantastic videographer (I just worked with him this past weekend!). Hope that helps!

Sometimes the venue point person can act as your party planner. Chances are they have done Bar/Bat Mitzvahs each weekend and can make all the suggestions you need. One advantage to a party planner is that they can usually get better rates with vendors they use often.

Hi Allison Needleman Stein - My blog, FAVORITE THINGS - www.partyfavoritesblog.com features ideas and inspiration for special events such as mitzvahs and wedding. It is a fabulous resource especially if you are planning an event in the MD/DC/VA area. And, be sure to check out yesterday's post featuring "The Mitzvah Song". It is a humorous music video about mitzvah planning produced by one of this board's regulars, Sheri Wohl Lapidus .

Amvets Post 9 on Shelby has a big hall for rent. Call and talk to Danny Mac. The veterans charge $350 and you get $100 back when you clean up after your event. 637-1900. Lots of chairs, tables, dance floor, stage and disco ball. Volunteer bartenders are available.
