Dr. Alicia Wright at HMG is the best! She caught Rhiley's heart murmur when another doctor missed it. She is so good with Rhiley and explains everything very well. Rhiley has VA Medicaid and they accept it, so I'm sure they also take Tenncare.

I actually didn't choose till Rhiley was a day old, but you could start calling now so you'll know who will take your insurance and all that. Before we left the hospital Dr. Wright gave us a new patient packet so we could have it filled out before her first appointment.

Dr. Nunley is great with premies and when the child is past premies stage Dr. Ley or Dr. Lewis with HMG.

We love Blackmon Pediatrics. They do not take new patients but about once a year. So you would have to call. Also husband and wife team. I used Black and Benton prior to them but did not like Teaster that much.

Blackmon Pediatrics is wonderful! They are a husband and wife team with others in the practice. Dr. Greg and Dr. Abby Blackmon are very thorough and take time to get to know their patients and what is ailing them. They have separate entrances according to whether your child is sick or well. The side door if you have something that might be highly contagious. We have been with them for 12 years and are thankful for their love for our children and their expertise.

Joey Frazier my friend Susan Salyer Mizelle is a PA at Niswonger's hospital, she is super sweet & I bet if you sent her a message on here she would be happy to give you any info she can. What pediatric doc does your little ones go to? You need to check out Premiere Pediatrics in JC. They are FANTASTIC!!

Call our local Shriners. The Rock Springs group has all kinds of medical equipment to loan out. They let me borrow a hospital bed for 6 months when Caleb was diagnosed with his bone disease. Awesome bunch of guys just waiting to help out our children. Don't know what we would have done without all of their kindness and words of support.
