My dogs love town and country in fairfax. Free popcorn in the lobby.

Go to Banfield in PetSmart and get their puppy insurance plan. You will save a ton compared to any of the independent vets in the area.

Caring Hands is good but we haven't done surgery.

Banfield pet hospital at petco has a great puppy plan. You just pay a monthly fee and you get pretty much everything and regular check ups and free emergency visits.

We take our two dogs to Tysons Corner Animal Hospital.. They're great, especially Dr. Koch.

We had ours spayed through Caring Hands on Van Dorn in Alexandria. My girlfriend thinks the vet Dr Planeta is the greatest.

I entrust my dogs to Clocktower in Herndon. I would greatly encourage you to investigate if pet insurance would be a good fit for your family too.

My pups see the wonderful staff at [Columbia Pike Animal Hospital](https://reddit.comhttp://www.columbiapikeanimalh.com/). Helped out with an infected paw a few months back.

Take my two boys to Canal Clinic in Potomac, MD and I've had good experiences. Prices are actually pretty damn reasonable ($60 exam fee for example). I'm comparing this to the $45 I paid in Richmond and the $85 I paid in McLean. Dr. Taylor is good because she knows her stuff but doesn't push unnecessary stuff. She keeps it real lol
Our border collie took a good hit from one of our heifers this evening. Broken left front leg. Does anyone know of a 24 hour vet for surgery? Anybody have an idea on...

Any vet with small office/clinic/practice recommendations between Fairfax and Ashburn? I prefer supporting smaller offices that don't care to be industrial size...

Oakton-Vienna Veterinary Hospital has been my family's go-to since the early 90 s. Dr. Sandy Christmus or Dr. Jones are the two best at the practice. They can be pricey, but the outstanding care is worth it. Not sure if it's in your radius, but thought I'd throw it out there.

A little further than Ashburn, I really love Market Street Vet in Leesburg. Definitely a small office. I've been impressed with the vet techs and the vets I've seen. http://marketstreetanimalclinic.com/
