Does anyone know if there is a nutritionist in our area? My blood sugar is out of control. I know what to do, lose weight and exercise, but I've got to have some...
Ashley G. replied:
Hey Bonnie, You know Beth Lamb Clark at hospital. She is a registered dietitian and I think she is great! I do think you have to have a doctors order. I just saw her in Walmart today and she's about to go out on maternity leave in about 6 weeks or so. Take care of yourself! You need to feel your best so you can keep up with 2 little ones!!!! Wishing you well sweet lady!

Dr McDavid is sending my husband to Dr Jones in Macon on April 17 th. His blood sugar is out of control also
Lorene S. replied:
Carrie Usry is the dietitian at the hospital.
Ashley G. replied:
Hey Ms Lorene, Ms Carrie manages the food and cafeteria etc. but Beth Clark is the clinical dietician.
Christie G. replied:
We are seeing Dr Bisat & Katun next week. If I'm correct, they're the pediatric endos that you see before the Jones Center. there is an office there in Macon called Diabetic Healthways that provides education. We will meet with them also. I have heard phenomenal things about the Jones Center. Libby said they offer classes on various topics.
Cindy J. replied:
Your local Weight Watchers group offers great support, and accountability. (Local and much cheaper than a specialist!)
Bonnie H. replied:
Is she the dietician? I have to see Dr. McDavid next week so I'll get one. Thanks. Gained so much weight and tonight felt terrible and it was higher than it's been since 3 years ago when I found it.
Judy Y. replied:
Hi Bonnie, Check out Dr. Thomas Jones in Macon at the Jones Center on the internet. It is the largest endocrinologist center south of Atlanta. They have a program for diabetics.
Bonnie H. replied:
I saw Dr. Mary Lou Thompson in Augusta and she retired. Did the education program and everything three years ago. I don't have my material and need someone local to help me with meal plans. etc.
Debra S. replied:
Go to hospital have lunch daily. It really is cheaper than cooking the meal and ingredients and yes her name is Beth Lamb. Couldn't think of first name last night. Hugs to you.
