Derek B. replied:
We switched from using Vasudeva after meeting her and getting the sense that she could really care less, and switched to Umeh, and he was awesome throughout the entire process. The instant our Daughter was born, Dr. Umeh and his Team started to sing Happy Birthday... a lifetime memorable moment.
Mellissa M. replied:
Dr Umeh I have him now just as my gyno but he is amazing. My sister loves him to. I've only heard bad things about Vasudeva.
Jan's S. replied:
Dr. Chaterjee has retired from the Obstetrics part of his practice, but still does Gyne. I would love to know how many babies he helped bring safely into this world during his career - he was amazing! But, given he's not practicing - I agree with Dr. Umeh.

I had Dr.Vasudeva for all 4 of my children...love her!! I have also had Dr. Umeh for a d&c and he was also on call for my last baby and he was excellent as well!
Brook J. replied:
I had Dr Vasadeva and she was so supportive throughout my pregnancy and such an awesome coach thru my labour and delivery. Such an awesome experience compared to my first time with a different dr in a different city!
Inga L. replied:
Oh Jen that is too bad if it is true. I love Dr. Bailey. She delivered both of my girls. I will ask her, I have an appointment next month.
Audrey J. replied:
Dr Umeh !
Heather R. replied:
Dr Vasudeva all the way, because of the ultra sound machine in her office, you get to see your baby often, which was helpful in detecting my baby was tangled in the umbilical cord. She saved my baby's life. I had 3 wonderful deliveries with her.
Hi Jason. Please post an anonymous question when you get a minute.
I am currently pregnant and need an OBGYN or midwife and am looking for suggestions. Also, I need to...
Amy C. replied:
Dr. Umeh if you go the OB direction!
Lorrie M. replied:
Check the lab in Erin. Very fast service not packed with people. I am an RN who knows Dr. Umeh. He is fantastic! He is so good with his patients!
Jodene W. replied:
Dr. Umeh
Tamara C. replied:
Dr. Vasudeva is amazing
Tabitha C. replied:
I've had both Umeh and Vasudeva and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Vasudeva...I had a horrible pregnancy/labour with Umeh.
Shannon M. replied:
Oh my gosh, midwives of headwaters hands down. Personalized care, longer appts where you don't get rushed out the door. More choices and options for you. Plus home visits! Seriously! So awesome not having to take your newborn out to a doctor's office for check ups! I would never even consider anything but midwives, and they are actually better trained in normal uncomplicated vaginal deliveries. Congrats!
Mellissa R. replied:
I loved Dr.Vasudeva
Anne A. replied:

Tanya D. replied:
Dr Umeh hands down, I had a high risk pregnancy so my only option was an OB
Christine W. replied:
Dr Umeh:)
Carol Å. replied:
Regardless of whether you choose midwives or OBs consider adding a doula to your support team. Congratulations on your pregnancy! http://www.lifetimeoflovedoula.com/

Looking for an OB/GYN (not in Orangeville). Willing to...
Kristine R. replied:
Stephanie Ayre and Kelly Strode in Guelph are EXCELLENT!
Kathy P. replied:
I also have it but the symptoms were completely stopped with natural progesterone cream prescribed by Dr. Alvin Pettle in Toronto. He has a long waiting list but it was so worth it.
Marie N. replied:
Dr. Umeh is in orangeville, but he is really good. He wont lie to you and will look out for your best interests.
Melanie C. replied:
Dr Nayla Khan, she's in Brampton 410 and Bovaird. She's amazing, but be ready to Wait as her office is always packed. Definitely worth seeing her tho.
Megen R. replied:
The best (after trial and error and bad advice etc) I ended up with Dr Ally Murji at Mt Sinai. It takes a while to get I, but very worth it!! 416 586 4479
Tracy K. replied:
You need an endocrinologist! Someone who can help you with a low carb way of eating (might be someone else, might be the endo if they are current and do their research). Of course, you'll need a referral. In the mean time, look up Dr A at www.dietdoctor.com. This way helps SO many women with PCOS.
Stacey T. replied:
Dr. Murad in Kitchener. Went through this exact experience. After 7 years I was finally diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. I kept getting told by local drs that they didn’t know what was wrong.
Thoughts on Ob/Gyn's, midwives and doulas? Pros and cons ?! I'm due Aug 28 and I've just hit 13 weeks - I have my first appt with an ob/gyn in 1.5 weeks but considering...
Jacquie B. replied:
Dr Umeh! He is amazing. I had issues later and ended up being admitted. The doc wouldn't believe me that I needed a D&C. I got mad and called Dr Umeh (he delivered my son too) he ordered an ultrasound the same day. I heard him yelling at the ward doctor and I had the surgery the next day and was out of the hospital the day after feeling so much better. He was amazing as our OB and he is the only one I will trust with other procedures that I have had done as well.
Kim L. replied:
Dr. Umeh was fantastic. I was new to town and my family doctor in Brampton recommended him. I'm glad he did, he was wonderful!
Mercedes S. replied:
Also, whether you go for ob or midwife, a doula is awesome to have. Sarah Langridge is wonderful. She was a huge support for me during my last 2 pregnancies.
Allie A. replied:
I used a DR with my first, and a Midwife with my second. I was SO impressed with my care I received with the midwives. Fantastic during my pregnancy, labor, and aftercare. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. I used Grand Valley Midwifes in Grand Valley. Congratulations!
Heather D. replied:
Dr. Umeh and Dr. Hafizela are both amazing. We had nothing but great experiences with these Doctors. Our third son was a very traumatic quick emergency c section and Dr. Hafizela was amazing and when I had problems after he made sure we were taken care of and even met us at emerg to make sure we were taken care of. We are very lucky to have such great obs in our community
Jacynthe C. replied:
I would highly recommend Dr Umeh !
Chelsie M. replied:
Who is your appointment with? I've used both. I found the OB better than the midwives but that's my personal experience. I would vote Dr. Umeh for an OB he's amazing. But I've heard good things about the others at rolling hills as well!! The midwives are very caring as well.
Alysha T. replied:
I had Dr. Umeh with my first which resulted in an emergency c-section for a very rare complication before I even went into labour. He was always professional and very dedicated to his patients. I enjoyed using him for our first and have asked for him to be the OB to do an elective section this time around if necessary. This time, I am with the midwives of headwater hills. So far (I'm 33 weeks) my experience has been great! They take the time to answer your questions, go over all tests and let you make an informed choice. They support your choice in your care. While a home birth is not an option for me, they are supportive if you would like to deliver at home. I have had to call their emergency line 3 times so far this pregnancy - it's comforting to know that someone is just a quick call away.:) good luck with your choice!
Ashley A. replied:
Dr Umeh is amazing. Google the OBs in town there are lots of good and bad reviews. This is a great site. https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/98484/Dr-Pratibha-Vasudeva-Orangeville-ON.html
Mercedes S. replied:
I'm in the middle of a good experience with midwives - had my baby boy a week ago, and I'm still getting in home visits to make sure everything is going well. We've had issues with jaundice, and my midwife even visited me in hospital twice to make sure I was doing okay, and that he was responding well to treatment (midwife was not the admitting doctor, so this is on top of seeing Dr Murphy for my son).
Hi everyone. Recently moved to orangeville and I'm looking for a new family doctor for husband and myself, but currently need a new OBGYN as I'm pregnant and no longer...
Amy J. replied:
No list at the hospital. You need to call 1-800-445-1822 for a GP
Shauna R. replied:
Dr Umeh for an ob!
Amy D. replied:
Dr Umeh and the midwives are wonderful!!
James P. replied:
Here's another vote for Dr. Jude Umeh, delivered both my daughters and a whole bunch of my friends' kids. Amazing man with a wealth of experience!
Sarah A. replied:
Another vote for Dr Umeh, had a very good experience.
Silvia S. replied:
Totally would recommend Dr. Umeh! He's amazing!! He delivered 2 of my three children and had the best experiences for both of the deliveries. He doesn't waste time and knows exactly what to do! Personal service is given as well! Leaves his home at anytime to deliver your child! Best decision I ever made for my OB!
Amy G. replied:
I've had great experiences with both Dr Vasudeva and Umeh for OB
Lorraine M. replied:
I had trouble finding a Doctor tried the hospital ..no help..then I heard Dr.Katie Awad behind Angel's diner was taking patients..so my daughters and I signed on with her a few days ago
Tracy M. replied:
Health Care Connect will set you up with a new doctor. Don't OBs need a referral? What about midwives?
Not from personal experience but from client feedback, Dr Umeh is fantastic! If Midwives are an option id Highly suggest The Midwives of Headwater Hills.
Jacynthe C. replied:
Dr Umeh is great! I highly recommend him!
Michelle H. replied:
Dr Umeh. I was told when I had my son that there are certain procedures Dr Vasudeva is not board certified for. That made me nervous. I met Dr vasudeva when I was pregnant and wasn't particularly impressed. Dr Umeh was excellent
Kelty-Lee P. replied:
My high risk pregnancy was managed very well by Dr Umeh. 7 weeks of hospitalization at the end of my pregnancy was very hard, but Dr Umeh always listened and worked with me to make me and my son safe and to try to find ways to make it less stressful as well. Good luck! And all the best for you and your family.
Melissa W. replied:
I had Dr Umeh for my first and Headwaters Midwives for my second. I highly recommend the midwives. Dr Umeh missed a breech presentation and I ended up having to have a c section. I was not happy with him.
Kelty-Lee P. replied:
Dr Umeh!!!! Saved my life and my son as well. Not even exaggerating. He also did surgery on me after my son was born. PM me if you have any personal questions and I'd be happy to share in a less public forum.
