Hello, my husband got a job opportunity through his company that would move us from Seattle to the area. Born and raised in the Seattle area I am kind of freaking out....

Oviedo is a great city. Very family oriented. I am the managing broker with Berkshire Hathaway. We would love to help you find a home. I had an uncle that lived in Everett, WA. We visited him on our honeymoon. It was beautiful. We could see Mount Ranier out of his living room window. Breathtaking. 407-588-1800

Oviedo is a great little city! It has small town charm and all the "big city" living that Orlando provides. Oviedo itself is a safe, welcoming community with great schools (all of Seminole County has fantastic schools) and plenty to do. From nature trails to recreation complexes, restaurants and shops large and small, we even have an Amphitheater! The angst is understandable with such a big move, but I'm sure you'll love it here in no time! Right now there is little inventory of housing in Oviedo (and the surrounding areas) but Amber Johnson Finch is a wonderful resource for your move! Not only is she a local realtor who knows Oviedo in and out, but she's also very knowledgeable of all the events that go on here (festivals, farmers markets, community gatherings, etc...) If there's anything I can help with, please let me know. You won't be disappointed or uneasy once you're living here!

Hi Bianca! I'm sure you will love it here. I grew up in Oviedo, moved out for a little bit and came back to raise our 2 boys here. With 2 young kids check out theses things... 1) The Oviedo Moms Meetup Group on Meetup.com. I joined this when my oldest was an infant and met so many wonderful moms, some of which are my best friends 9 years later. 2) First Years Preschool at Crosslife Church and the Early Childcare Center (ECC) at the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo. Both are excellent preschools where you will meet a lot of great moms. My boys went to First Years and they loved it! Both of these are right downtown and across the street from each other. 3) This FB page https://www.facebook.com/498161893542993 Macaroni Kid Oviedo-Geneva-Winter Springs, they also have a e-newsletter. A great resource for everything going on around town that is kid related. My boys go to Lawton Elementary which we LOVE! However all Oviedo schools are great, Seminole County too. People move here just for them which is why available home inventory is low and most new construction is starting at over $400k. Don't know how this compares to Seattle but hopefully you can find what you want. I hope this helps, if you have any other questions I'd be happy to help. Good luck!

We live in Sanctuary and it has been a wonderfull home. Super safe, at least a dozen cops living in our street. Playground, club house, half soccer field, basketball and tennis. Huge community pool is a ton of fun for kids and adults. Live Oak down the street is another great place. Oh andd aawesome schools are walking distance from here.

*Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline* by Dr. Becky Bailey is a good start to wrapping your entire discipline methodology around her idea of [Conscious Discipline](http://www.consciousdiscipline.com)--a natural, neurologically-based, brain-healthy approach to adult-child correspondence that works (when done right) to benefit any child on the planet.

Best book ever - an early start for your child with autism.
Can anyone recommend a preschool for my 3 year old? We are relocating from Boston and I was not aware that public preschool is not available until age four. I would hate...

My son was in the Little Lions class at Oviedo High School. Hagerty High also has Husky Pups. Both are wonderful programs. He was 3 at the time.
