After I had my daughter and she needed her 1 wk follow up Dr.Davis couldnt get me in until almost 2 wks later, Acute Care gave me an appt that wk. they are great with same day appts and work with babies especially they only accept up to age 12 I believe but they are amazing, goodluck!

Dr Sahai in ormond is wonderful!! He doesn't push vaccines that my children didn't need on them! He listens and cares and took my call on mothers day while he was out of town and at 10 pm!! I absolutely love him!!

Dr. Davis! Love him! He really takes his time and listens. I never feel rushed. Sometimes his office is a long wait, but that is because he gives everyone his time instead of just getting people in and out. I switched from children's medical center after they told me my daughter's brain was probably either bleeding or she had a tumor before they re measured her head and realized they measured wrong in the first place. Mistakes happen but I think they should have measured again before telling me something so scary!

Acute pediatrics always brushed things off that I had concerns about with my first and refuses to give my daughter a referral for almost 2 years that after switching to dr Davis we for and it was actually necessary and would have fixed the issue sooner.

Don't go to Davis. Have heard mixed reviews on him. Children's Medical Center is where all of my wealthy friends take their children & I think they accept medicare & medicaid. We love Drm McLoughlin at Children's Medical Center. Also they have 3 office locations (Palm Coast, Ormond, & Port Orange) so if you have an emergency they can get you in one of their offices that same day. Also, they have a doctor on call at all times so if you need anything on the weekends or after hours. Dr. Ahmed also opened an emergency

After hours office called Twilight Pediatrics so you can go there instead of emergency room.

Sorry I just read your wanting to know why part. The health department is great for getting you in right away for sick visits. I waited 2 days to get one with Verdeflor. Plus my son actually liked to go. He was able to get a free book every visit and the staff is really nice. Dr. Carter never made us feel like our concerns were wrong or stupid - unlike Dr. V.

Hmm, I'm sorry to hear you're not having a good experience with Dr Verdeflor. I've had the complete opposite. We switched to him after moving to PC and I couldn't be happier with the results. He's very thorough and informative, always takes the time to answer my questions and doesn't seem in a hurry to get to the next patient. I've always been able to get in for sick visits the same day or next day. I take my three boys there.

Whatever you do don't go to Dr. Verdeflor. He made us wait for a prescription for my 2 month old for 3 days and my friends son ended up in the hospital for days because he had RSV and he didn't diagnose him correctly. His office is disgusting and he doesn't listen to your concerns, he just brushes them off.

I just switched my boys to Dr. Davis. Definitely recommend. Everyone LOVES him

I've heard so many good things about Dr. Davis. If I wasn't happy with Dr. Ahmed and the others at Children's Medical Center, I'd give Dr. Davis a try. I tried Dr. Tiu's office twice and will NEVER go there again. I can see maybe messing up a diagnosis once, but do it a second time, and you just don't need to be in the medical field.

I just had my son 6 months ago and had it done at Halifax family sports and medicine in Daytona. They will do it until hes 6 weeks old based on gestation. But from what I was told insurance doesn't cover the procedure because it's not medically necessary? They made me pay $175 OOP.

Volusia OB/GYN. Although I had FL Healthcare Plans insurance at the time my son was born, I had United at the time my daughter was born (4 years ago), so I know they at least used to accept United. Don't know whether they still do or not.

I was taking my kids to Children's Medical Center until we switched insurance. LOVED THEM! Took my son to Dr. Tiu's office twice and now wouldn't take him there under any circumstances. They wanted to do unnecessary bloodwork on his first visit, and then screwed up a diagnosis on his second visit. They gave my son a shot that had the potential for some serious complications! Will be switching back to Children's Medical Center ASAP!

I have used Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Tiu. They are both great. If you call the office they will schedule you a mommy appointment and you can meet and talk with the doctors before your babies come so you can see who you like.

Dr Verdeflour in the Penicals building (right across the street from Flagler hosp) is great. I've never had an issue and anytime my son is sick they get me in that day or first thing the following morning.

Children's Medical is great! Dr Ahmed, dr gianini, etc. Kevin is their front desk person and is very kind. We have gone to them for almost 13 yrs. we have always gotten in when the kids were sick.

If they are busy they call me back. Following. I currently go to Davis and I'm looking to switch. I love him but I can never get in when my kid is sick which kind of defeats the purpose. My daughter is on day 4 of a fever right now and I called yesterday and they said she can come in Wednesday. She had a uti once and I called on a Wednesday and they said she could come on Monday...waiting 5 days with a uti is unacceptable. I had to take her to a walk in clinic and I am doing the same today. Dr. Davis is a wonderful doctor but if I can only see him when my kids are healthy it is sadly time to make a switch.

Brittany Bentley I completely agree that Lori is the main problem! I did finally talk to Dr. Davis yesterday at the end of the day. I called first thing in the morning. I let him know that my daughter was on day 3 of a fever and had complained about chest pain and knee pain and that she had been bitten by a tick and he said it was fine to wait until Wednesday unless she started limping. I disagree. I'm not a mom who brings her kid in for sniffles or a cough or even a fever unless it is really high or long lasting. This has all just makes me wonder what constitutes a sick visit at his office?

I have had no problems with Dr Davis, if my kids are sick, I call and tell addy what is going on and they get back to me. Sometimes he will call in a script others I will get in next day. I never have a problem. I called at 11 pm and Dr Davis called me back with in 30 minutes. My son was super sick. He told me what to do and told me to come in first thing in morning if he got worse go to Er. I never had a problem been seeing him almost 3 years

Acute Care Pediatrics, all the physicians there are amazing. Especially Dr Tiu. Anytime my child Is sick they get me In the same day. The ppl in the front answering phones and scheduling appts are always super nice and accomodating. He also has an after hr # to call for any questions or concerns. They are also open til about 5-6 pm. Definitely reccommend!

Dr Tiu is wonderful. My son has special needs and he saved his life many of times. He went to dr Verdflor and he said nothing was wrong with him and did not know how to care for him n did not like to give referrals out.

Wouldn't go to Dr Davis. My daughter was sick with a fever, took her in and he said just teething let her go a couple more days. I called three days in a row after that because she still was running a fever and he said let her go longer it should go away. Took her to the ER and it ended up being a bad kidney infection. Was in hospital for a week! It was a uti and went untreated for too long.

I go to Dr Rodriguez in Ormond. It really is worth the drive!

We have Dr. Davis and really like him, besides the not getting an apt the same day issue, he is our favorite. Tried dr. Verdeflor for a while because of insurance changes and cried and was outraged every time I left. So happy to be back with Davis! Every one is different and has there "happy place" though! Good luck!

pinnacles doesn't do same day. didn't really care for that place. they told me my appt time and got there and claimed it was at a different time so had to reschedule after a drive and early morning. Dr. Rodriguez is good, calls in scripts if needed, refers you to where you need, same day appts and you can walk in without appt, late hours, very knowledgeable, haven't had an issue yet.

Dr Davis is good but his office hours and staff is not so much. It is very very rare that you can get a same day appointment for a sick kid and a script refill is a nightmare. My kids went there for 10 years so this is a fact. I switched my kids to CMS and they are fantastic and have multiple locations to get you in in a pinch!!

I go to Children's Medical Center here in PC. They have a 24 hour sick child center (in Ormond) Thier office staff is amazing and we have seen several of the doctors in the preactice. I have been please with them the 8 years my boys have been patients.
