I have the D5200, it takes beautiful pictures. It had the D60 for a 4-5 years before and LOVED it. When my D60 broke I wish I had just replaced it with the same (or the D90 actually). I got sold on the D5200 and it works great, but I feel like it just isn't as amazing, I just can't put my finger on why! Might also want to look into the D7000 as it is water sealed - there have been many occasions this year I wish I had gone with that one…drizzly easter egg hunt, waterfalls, etc. You never know when there will be mist. No professional here, its just my everyday-mama-cam. Also, check out this comparison site: it should answer all your camera comparison Q's. http://snapsort.com/compare/Nikon-D5200-vs-Nikon_D90
