The Crown Vics - East Coast Boogie, Billy and Rock’n’Roll!
Ever since they first formed, The Crown Vics made it their mission to veer from genre to genre across the musical map, choosing to follow their own muse. Mixing musical mischief and fun is in the Vic's DNA and they are already well known for their “let’s tear it up” reputation. While that status is well deserved, their ability to bend the boundaries has been simultaneously tempered and informed by an adherence to time-honored, vanishing musical traditions, grounded in honky tonk, boogie woogie and rock'n'roll.
Members of The Crown Vics have had the opportunity to sow their wild rock'n'roll oats over the years. Guitarist, Frank Schwartz has spent the past 3 decades rippin' it up in blues bands from New York City to Gyeongju, South Korea. Upright bass player, Gordon Fellis, the “teenager” of the group, cut his teeth in a variety of speed metal punk bands in the back woods of New England. The Myers twins, who front the band, bring their theater experience to the live show. Drummer Steve Peer brings his Jersey jive and punk rock cred to the line-up having played for prog punk pioneers, TV Toy and Bill Nelson's Red Noise in the UK and has also been a member of the Chuck Berry pick-up band alumni.
The Crown Vics tap into a tradition established by Carl Perkins, Patsy Cline, and The Beatles. It’s that spirit, the combination of attitude and styles, affability, and desire to go all in, that makes The Crown Vics such a fun and vibrant live act and their show a full-tilt non-stop dance riot that puts a smile on the face of music lovers of all ages.
