About us
My name is Cathy Griffith. The meaning behind my birth name Cathleen is "pure." The japanese name Sumiko, and the meaning behind that name as well is "pure". Thus creating the name Sumikofoto! I heart many things, mainly rabbits, japanese anime and manga, cosplay, comedy, video games(Who doesn't love rocking out to Guitar Hero or Rock band?! I know i do.), rock and techno/electronic music, and a sucker for romance. I enjoy going to conventions and dabbling in some cosplay photography and videography, as well as going to local rock shows and concerts. I really enjoy the music scene. I am pretty much up for trying anything new in photography and videography. I have shot families, kids, newborn, promotional artists and musicians, and couples. I have been volunteering at my local SPCA, First State Animal Center & SPCA, since October 2013. I shoot mainly the cats, and small animals, but have taken portraits of the adoptable dogs every so often. It's more than just volunteer work for me, it's an enjoyable experience, and I love interacting with these animals.
