The granite already there is a very common kind that I'm sure I could easily match if I could find a place that sells remnants or can do a small job. A number of the granite places that come up on google maps are now closed, and the remaining ones have bad reviews. Any suggestions?

  Check out http://www.pyramidgranite.us/. I haven't used them, but a friend did on their kitchen and was really happy (prices were good with them, too). Excellent reviews on Yelp, Angie's list.
