Tasleema Nigh - Makeup Artist
About us
Tasleema started her makeup career in 1997 in Sydney, Australia after completing a certificate in Makeup Artistry at one of Sydney's top makeup colleges. Soon after Tasleema travelled to North America to live, assisting and working alongside some of the industry's best makeup artists to learn and develop her now signature looks.
One of Tasleema's greatest makeup mentors works alongside renowned makeup artist, Dick Page, on New York Fashion Week runway collection shows for Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs. Other makeup artists Tasleema has assisted while in Canada include those working with the likes of supermodels Daria Werbowy, Jessica Stam, Christy Turlington, Kate Moss and Sharlom Harlow to name a few.
After returning to Australia in 2007 after living and working in Toronto, Canada for six years in the fashion, advertising and wedding industries, Tasleema has enjoyed focusing on weddings, events and photographic makeup. Always up for a new challenge and a change of scenery, Tasleema relocated from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast of Queensland in 2011. Tasleema is now busy helping local and interstate brides look beautiful on their wedding days. There is something very special about helping a bride get ready on one of the most important day in their lives - it's a huge honour!
Tasleema's work has been seen in many fashion, lifestyle and entertainment magazines and in advertising campaigns for major international brands in Australia, the USA and Canada. Selected to apply makeup back stage to models at numerous fashion shows including the famous David Jones and Myer annual fashion parades and Canada's Loreal Paris Fashion Week. Tasleema has also worked for Estee Lauder Companies for many years on their team of National Makeup Artists helping women of all ages, ethnicities and skin conditions look beautiful, further adding to her versatility and experience as a professional makeup artist.
Tasleema's most exciting gig had to have been working on the same set as Johnny Depp... show more and rubbing shoulders backstage with Miranda Kerr and Megan Gale.
A few of Tasleema's favourite things include simplicity, yoga, healthy eating, cooking, fitness, her little Jack Russell Terrier, Olive, and of course makeup!
