I had the misfortune of getting Aiden Gavosto as a massage practitioner. The center’s website claims that massages are a full 60 minutes, but they should specify that Aiden only gives the client 40 minutes. Don’t get me wrong, he’s happy to charge your insurance company for 60 minutes. I know because I verified it. When he finally does show up for the massage, he acts like he doesn’t want to be there. I told him I was having trouble with my shoulder because I thought—he’s a massage practitioner, he’ll work on it—right? I was wrong. However he did give me some advice, “You should soak that in Epsom salt. It’s good for sore muscles.” Okay, but aren’t massages good for sore muscles too? Maybe I misunderstood how this was supposed to work. You give them your money and… get told to soak in Epsom salt. Seriously??? I mean, who does that? Aiden also seems to have a problem with chubby chicks (yep, that describes me). So maybe he could write down his criteria for the type of customer he’s willing to be nice to and give it to the front desk so they can ask callers their height and weight to determine whether Aiden is willing to work with them. I told the owner Patty about his behavior. She offered nothing for the time I was shorted and treated crappily. That’s fine. What I really wanted and expected was to know why I was treated this way, but Patty was not interested in asking Aiden to explain himself. Her response was, “Oh well, we all can’t be everyone’s cup of tea.” I didn’t realize I needed to be a practitioner’s cup of tea in order to get medical treatment. I found out later that Aiden is the supervisor over the other massage practitioners. I don’t understand how he can be so rude to clients and supervise others who are so much more competent than him at the same time; that’s a lot to juggle. I’ve had massages with 4 other practitioners at this facility and they are truly wonderful people! Names: Ian, Donna, Marie and Tia. (Sorry about the star rating. It’s not a reflection on you or most of your coworkers). I can only hope that their supervisor Aiden doesn’t interfere too much with the amazing work they do. Neither Patty nor Aiden will explain to me why I was made to feel so unwelcomed at their facility. I will miss most of the folks who work there, but with a supervisor who behaves like a child and an owner who enables him, it’s bad for my wellbeing to do business there anymore.
