Incredulously disappointing. Con-Man and rip off artist. Steer clear. I took my car here, March 7th 2017 with a faulty starter motor and asked 'Brad' to have a look at it. The first communication I get is a text message 35 hours later reading 'Hi..... Your car is ready..... Thanks Brad Agnes All Sparks'. I pick up the car, it works. My total costs incurred are $867.90. Including $360 for 'labour' - $396 inc GST. He had ordered and fit a new starter motor (without asking me, offering a quote or even bothering to contact me at all). My car is a Holden Vectra 2004 Petrol Manual. Having spoken to Holden they advise their official labour time for this job is 0.9 Hours. Baffled by this outrageous labour cost I proceed to call 3 garages and get a quote on the exact same job, I am given 3 guaranteed quotes ranging between $50-$100. Brad advertises his costs at $90 per labour hour. However when comparing Holdens official labour time guideline to the actual costs incurred you get $440 per hour. Peculiar. I then look into the product cost, I am charged $448 for the part, which I can easily find online from several huge legitimate public retailers for as little as $214, including delivery and GST. My invoice/receipt is deliberately cut in half such that I cannot see information regarding the part. He has acquired the part at trade price and added a hefty margin above the readily available consumer retail price. Here is the best part, I go to see 'Brad' and politely explain all of the above: His response - 'I charge whatever I want, I'm here to run a business not to make friends, if I think I can charge that much, I will'. He also explains the 3.5 kilometre lift home he so kindly offered me (in my own car when I first dropped it off) took up 30 minutes of his $90 per hour time and he 'charges for every second'. Consequently I appear to have paid $45 for a 4 minute lift using my own fuel... ... Karma do your thing, lovely, lovely Karma. Some people 'ey!
