  Hi everyone, Luiza and I are returning to Ojai for about 6 weeks from the end of December Can anyone advise us if there are any more Wholefoods type produce places in Ojai now? I think I read somewhere that Starr Market had changed hands and was going to have more organic produce - but in any event tips welcome.. And I guess the nearest Indian restaurants are still in Ventura? Look forward to seeing all our Ojai friends again...

  Welcome back. Christine Golden is referring to Himalaya which gets my vote as well! 35 W Main Street, Ventura CA 93001,(805) 643-0795 www.himalayacuisine.com. The food is ALWAYS fresh, delicious, and consistent. I feel I've eatten cleanly because it's all seasoned just right. BTW I encourage reservations, ESPECIALLY on the weekends. They've been very busy for months since the word has gotten out about how good they are in Sunset & Westways magazines.

  Himalaya is the best and closest Indian and Nepalese food. The paneer tikka masala with brown rice is my favorite!
